Our resident rooms are bright and airy, decorated in colours and fabrics selected from a subtle palette. Most important of all, our rooms are comfortable and inviting, offer beautiful views overlooking our landscaped gardens. Each room is equipped with a nurse call system, access to telephone and flat screen TV.

Families can enjoy the many leafy walkways on the grounds with their loved ones and young children will be entertained on our Fairy Trail.

Our Care Services

Respite Care

We provide respite care to allow carers to take a break for a short or more extended period.

Treatment and rehabilitative care are available for people post-surgery or recuperation after an illness.

Residential Care

Long term care is designed for residents unable to live independently.

Our focus is to preserve independence through individualised social, recreational, occupational therapy and physiotherapy programmes – enhancing the quality of life of our valued residents.

Dementia Care

Ferbane Care Centre is a community that supports residents with dementia or cognitive impairment.

Our staff work closely with the HSE and other external agencies to ensure that we deliver the highest quality of care, in a manner that is sensitive to our residents’ fundamental and individual needs.

Rehabilitation & Complex Care

We care for residents living with an Acquired Brain Injury following a stroke or accident and provide person-centred holistic care designed to improve their quality of life.

Residents with complex care needs are provided with a personalised care plan which promotes their wellbeing and meets their complex needs. Nurses are trained in intellectual disability, gerontology and psychiatry and all staff are trained to provide specialised care to residents with complex physical, psychological or emotional needs. Residents’ mental health and wellbeing are promoted through creative and individualised care programmes designed to maximise the resident’s abilities.

Health & Wellbeing

We strive to promote an optimal quality of life through a progressive approach to residents’ social and spiritual care. The Director of Nursing and care staff drive opportunities for intimate and meaningful connections to be built around residents of Ferbane Care Centre within the community we serve.

Social Life

Our unique approach to planning social events starts by finding out what our residents like to do. We arrange individual and group outings into the community and further afield to suit all interests.

Meanwhile, back at Ferbane Care Community, there’s always something happening; from art, reminiscence, music and dancing, pet therapy, exercise classes and Sonas therapy for residents living with dementia, to summer barbecues and family fun days.

Historical presentations by the local historian are a regular feature.

Testimonials

I would like to thank the staff of Ferbane Nursing home, who take such good care of my brother. They had to learn both what my brother wanted, and what was important to us, as his family. The staff have great attention to detail, empathy, listening skills and understanding of every situation. The care staff and nursing team are excellent with him. Thank you for taking such great care of him.

Family Member

My wife Ellie has been a resident in Ferbane for over 3 years. What’s been particularly reassuring is the manner in which the staff keep in touch with day to day operations, down to the smallest detail. As a result, we have grown accustomed to the highest standard of care being maintained. Ellie very much appreciates the courtesy, attention and patience from all the staff and also enjoys the excellent cuisine.
